"Relay for Life"

As the summer has started off nice and slow, I hope to spend the rest of the summer with my amazing friends, and family. I leave for New Hampshire in two days, not quite looking forward to a long 9 hour car trip, but seeing that I get to endure it with my best friend and cousin miss Hailey Graham it won't be so bad. Tomorrow at Northern football statium, starts off a 24 hour event for Relay for Life. Early morning for most down at station 64, we will be getting breakfast started around 8 going through lunch, dinner, and the rest of the 24 hours up until Saturday morning. Sad to say I will not be sticking around till much after 6 Friday night. Today I was thinking about my grandmother, who survived breast cancer..to see what an amazing, strong women she is I am so greatful to know that I always have her to look up to, and rely on. I know that for many others their battle with cancer doesn't always turn up to be the same ending, but the happy memories left behind don't end! To those worthy of so much more, to have to live a life fighting for everything..to those who fought, and lost their battle..and to those who have yet to fight we walk for you! We don't always think about it, and we don't always get to see how it could affect our lives each and everyday. But that doesn't mean it doesn't affect the families, the friends, or the patients lives. They live with it, they think about how tomorrow will be any different. We will never fully understand what it is like, but we can support them. I talked to a man who couldn't speak real well, and he walked with a limp..I'm not sure what happened, or what his story is but I watched him give an elderly women a flower from his pocket. He walked up to me and said "I would give  you a flower but I already gave it away." I looked at him thinking "you live like that everyday, you can't change that, but you still walk around and give people flowers." I was just amazed, I just wonder why people who live normal lives everyday can walk around and be bitter and rude. I often do it too, I'm not always happy and I often complain about so much that I CAN change.

"Come to Me, all who are weary, and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

I trust that everything happens because it's suppose to, however we can't always deal alone. It's tough to understand that good things can come out of bad situations but you have to deal with the pain to find the happieness! I hope everyone has a great weekend, no matter what you are doing. If you are spending time with friends, cleaning, or if you are in the hospital, or at home fighting cancer...I hope you find comfort! The rainy day gives me time to now pack, get together all my supplies for New Hampshire, and maybe clean my room. Good day to everyone.
